TTM 2026: Industry Leaders Discuss the Future of Automotive

Share

The first day of TTM 2026 was not only about showcasing cutting-edge technologies but also about shaping the future of the automotive industry. During a closed-door meeting, key stakeholders discussed major challenges, trends, and strategic directions for the years ahead.

The first day of the Automotive Technology Fair TTM 2026 was not only about presenting the latest technologies and solutions, but also about creating a space for strategic discussions on the future of the entire industry. At the invitation of the MTP Group and the Automotive Technology Association, a closed meeting titled “What’s next for the automotive industry?” took place.

Nearly 50 representatives of key industry organizations and market leaders participated in the discussion. The meeting had a working format and focused on exchanging perspectives and identifying the most important challenges facing the automotive sector.

An industry at a turning point

The discussions revolved around the most significant trends and phenomena that are already shaping the market and may determine its direction in the coming years. Among the key topics were the development of electromobility and questions about its actual scale and pace of adoption, the growing presence of Chinese vehicles in the European market, and planned regulatory changes regarding technical inspections, currently under intense debate at the European level.

Participants also reflected on rapid technological advancements and clearly changing consumer behaviors, which increasingly require new business models and approaches to automotive services.

As emphasized by Rafał Sosnowski, President of the Automotive Technology Association:
“We live in times of very intense change. And wherever change appears, there are always those who can take advantage of it and those who fall behind. That is why it is so important for us as an industry to recognize the direction early and start taking action.”

More questions than answers, but a clear direction

The nature of the meeting encouraged open exchange of opinions. Many questions were raised that do not yet have clear answers but already require deeper discussion. Participants agreed that the scale and pace of change mean that postponing decisions may result in a loss of competitiveness.

Although the meeting was held behind closed doors, its conclusions can be described as consistent and clear: the automotive industry stands on the threshold of an exceptionally dynamic period that brings both challenges and real opportunities for growth.

There was a strong emphasis on the need for greater cooperation between organizations, knowledge sharing, and active participation in regulatory processes that will directly impact the functioning of the market.

The discussion continues

A natural continuation of these conversations was the 3rd Automotive Forum, which also took place during the first day of TTM. Across three panel discussions, experts addressed the key topics previously raised – from access to repair and the role of independent workshops, through the impact of electromobility and the expansion of Chinese brands, to the future of technical inspections in Poland.

The forum created space for a broader, public debate and confirmed that the industry is not only identifying challenges but is also actively seeking solutions and common directions for action.

TTM 2026 once again demonstrated that, beyond its exhibition role, it serves as an important platform for industry dialogue – a place where changes are not only observed, but actively shaped.
